Mount Mayriv is the easternmost of a cluster of Jewish cemeteries located on Addison Street between Naragansett and Oak Park Avenue. The Jewish cemeteries are continuous, with no fence in between, but a fence on the north side separates them from the non-denominational Mount Olive cemetery.

Notables buried here include architect Dankmar Adler, early Jewish settler of Chicago Henry Horner, and his grandson, Illinois Governor Henry Horner.
