GRAVEYARDS of CHICAGO
St. James, The Sag
PREV UP UP

A short distance away on one side of the church, the ground drops off. Several of the graves are in built-up sections on the side of the hill, the ground held in with low stone walls. In the lowest sections, the ground is irregular. The cemetery has no fence on this side, and the trees of the forest press in, hanging over the tombstones. Stones around the perimeter are overgrown with bushes and trees.

This is an older section, with many unreadable limestone markers that appear to be from the 1840's.
