Immediately behind the front doors of Rosehill Mausoleum is this hallway, lined with Doric columns, a fittingly grandiose entrance to Chicago's finest mausoleum. The features and proportions are modeled after the Parthenon at Athens, where similar columns lead to an enormous statue of the goddess Athena.
At the end of this corridor is the John G. Shedd Memorial Chapel, the most spectacular chamber in Rosehill Mausoleum
