One of the smallest graveyards in the Chicago area is the Gridley Family Cemetery, which is situated next to Highway 83 in north suburban Lake County, north of the village of Long Grove, south of Mundelein.

Except in winter, when trees are bare, the tiny graveyard is not visible from the road, and one would be very lucky to spot it without already knowing it was there.
